"Les chats, c’est vraiment des branleurs. Les Nuls avaient raison. Mais des branleurs qui écoutent du bon son apparemment. En tout cas à en croire ce que leur concocte Mamba4cats, trio de DJs composé de Freadz (La Ruda, Kazamix), Dj Spok et Arturo Rotunda. Leur premier EP «Surprise Partie» est dispo en digital et en CD-R customisé (à tout petit tirage) depuis peu. Et les fans des sorties de Ninja Tune, Mo Wax et autres labels electro- foutraques du milieu des 90s seraient fort inspirés de se jeter dessus car il y a matière à se régaler : à la manière d’un Kid Koala, Mamba4cats fout le bordel dans le bac à vinyles, faisant pogoter surf/punk, jazz new orleans, jungle old skool, folklore slave, BO funky et scratches hip hop dans une bonne humeur extrêmement rafraîchissante. Difficile en effet de ne pas remuer de la guibole en entendant «The Grand Billy» ou «Drum Boogie», véritables tubes en puissance. Mamba4cats vient de gagner l’insigne honneur d’accompagner tous nos futurs barbecues de l’été et leurs afters (et c’est pas donné à tout le monde, hein!). N’oubliez pas non plus d’aller faire un tour sur leur site où le trio poste régulièrement des vidéos rigolotes. De quoi enfin fouetter un chat, donc."
